I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California providing psychotherapy for adults and psychological assessment for individuals across the lifespan. I offer services in both English and Spanish and am committed to delivering culturally responsive care in the language that feels most comfortable to you.
Originally from Mexico City, I immigrated to the United States for college. After an early career in engineering, I chose to pursue psychology to make a more direct and meaningful impact in people’s lives and communities. I earned my Doctorate in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 2012, have been licensed since 2013, and became board certified in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology in 2025. My training and professional experience span community mental health and medical settings. I continue to work as a health psychologist within a primary care clinic, where I collaborate closely with medical providers to support patients managing complex health and mental health concerns. In addition to clinical practice, I have provided supervision to graduate students and associate therapists and have taught graduate-level psychology courses. I approach my work with thoughtfulness and deep respect for the responsibility of this role. I strive to provide evidence-informed care grounded in collaboration, transparency, and compassion. As an immigrant, I bring an appreciation for the role of culture, identity, and the ongoing balance of multiple responsibilities and life transitions. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change. |
